Mike Conway raring to go ahead of Motul Petit Le Mans

Fresh from his title triumph in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Mike Conway is quickly back into action this weekend as the curtain falls on the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the Motul Petit Le Mans.

Stepping back into the #31 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R for the final time this season, Mike will contest the ten-hour endurance event alongside teammates Felipe Nasr and Pipo Derani.

The crew have claimed three pole positions this season in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and came tantalisingly close to victory at the infamous Rolex 24 Hours.

Looking to end the year on a high, the trio arrive at Road Atlanta confident of another strong showing.

The 2.54-mile Road Atlanta circuit features 12 turns and has staged the Petit Le Mans race since its inaugural running in 1998. Nestled in the heart of Georgia, the circuit is a fast and undulating challenge for drivers to tackle.

“I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel with Action Express Racing,” Mike said. “Petit Le Mans is always a great race to be involved in and a fitting way to end the season. We’ve shown some good pace throughout the season so we’ll be aiming to carry that through to Road Atlanta. The team are locked in the championship fight and I'll be doing all I can to help them this weekend.”

The action gets underway on Thursday with three Free Practice sessions, at 09:20 (14:20 GMT), 14:20 (19:20) and 18:30 (23:30) respectively. Friday marks qualifying day with the session getting underway from 15:45 (20:45).

Saturday will see a short warm-up at 09:15 (14:15) before the ten-hour race gets underway at 12:10 (17:10).

Viewers outside the US can watch the race in its entirety live through the IMSA website, where live timing will also be available.
